Building a Digital Identity for a Nordic Skincare Brand

LJÓMA is a skincare brand inspired by the untouched nature of the Nordic region. Its philosophy combines minimal ingredients, Nordic botanicals, and modern skin science to create skincare that restores balance and clarity to the skin.

The challenge was to translate this philosophy into a digital experience that felt as pure and refined as the product itself. The brand required a website that could communicate its premium positioning while remaining calm, minimal, and trustworthy.

At the same time, the platform needed to support future growth through e-commerce integration, scalable product pages, and storytelling content that explains the ingredients and philosophy behind the formulations.

The design had to balance three key elements:

A Minimal Nordic Digital Experience

The final solution was a refined digital platform that reflects LJÓMA’s philosophy of simplicity, purity, and intentional skincare.

The website design embraces Scandinavian minimalism, using generous whitespace, soft neutral tones, and carefully selected typography to create a calm and premium user experience.

Each product page was designed to guide visitors through a story — from Nordic ingredients such as snow algae and Iceland moss to the scientific reasoning behind the formulations.

To ensure scalability and performance, the website was built in Framer with Shopify powering the e-commerce backend through Frameship integration. This allows the brand to manage products easily while maintaining full design flexibility.

The result is a digital experience that feels luxurious yet effortless, perfectly aligned with LJÓMA’s brand identity.
